Senior Director, North America Regional COE- Specialization in SAP Finance-


SAP America Regional COE is responsible for business development, demand generation and deal execution of SAP's Financial management solutions at our customers in North America. SAP's financial management solutions cover the business needs of Chief Finance Officers (CFOs) and other senior finance executives at our customers.

We are looking for experienced senior level employees with executive level experience to engage with our customers' senior executives to position SAP's financial management portfolio of solutions through strategic, transformational sales opportunities.

SAP's portfolio of solutions for the finance line of business covers FP&A, financial close, treasury and risk management, financial operations and governance, risk & compliance to help finance executives run their businesses today and prepare for change in the future.


-Engage directly with senior executives within SAP Strategic customer program, Key and large enterprise accounts to drive sales of SAP's finance portfolio of solutions that includes SAP S/4HANA (on premise deployments)

-Drive "lighthouse" transformation engagements with select customers to showcase SAP S/4HANA capabilities

-Engage with key ecosystem partners (Accenture, Deloitte, E&Y, PwC etc.) to educate their consultants on SAP finance including SAP S/4HANA capabilities and engage them into marketing campaigns and sales cycles

-Drive in-region market awareness of SAP Finance solutions including SAP S/4HANA capabilities to support all lines of businesses including activities such as presentations at events, engagement with partners, thought leadership activities (eg blogs, white papers etc.)

-Support ad-hoc sales opportunities that require senior executive engagement to support the sales cycle

-Become part of a global network of COEs, building and sharing knowledge on successful demand generation, customer success stories and potential product and market evolutions

-Work in conjunction with regional/MU sales organizations, as well as partners, solution management, value engineering, consulting, services and support to support lighthouse customer success cases

-Present SAP Finance including SAP S/4HANA solution capabilities, value proposition, key differentiators at senior executive levels and large audiences

-Internal enablement to support the sales teams understanding of how SAP for Finance become the Digital Core and how those solutions support both finance and Digital Transformation

-Prepare Executive summary "point of view" documents that align solution benefits to customer strategic goals as well as serve to illustrate potential ROI with an investment in SAP Finance solutions

Work Experience, Skills & Competencies

-Professional experience with large, multi-national software/IT organizations and with a demonstrated expertise in SAP Finance, SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA

-Expertise in SAP Finance solutions with focus on ERP Financials, Controlling, Profitability analysis, finance planning and analysis, accounting & close, treasury management, financial operations and GRC

-10+ years of prior relevant solutions/LoB experience in presales or consulting or working directly at a customer and supporting SAP environments.

-Working knowledge of cloud in the B2B, B2C environments

-Working knowledge of cloud, hosted or managed services and SaaS/PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/business networks

-Viewed as solutions/LoB expert across SAP, capable of leveraging an extensive network on behalf of SAP resulting in pipeline and revenue growth

-Proven track record of success in the selected solution/LoB area

-Strong customer facing experience at executive levels

-Strong presentation skills


MBA or equivalent degree required from accredited university preferred

Fluency in English, any other language an asset
